A day spent showcasing e-bikes as the most sustainable travel alternative! With Solarcycle, Hygge Bikes and thanks to Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust staff and Sam Purnell for the great conversations!

We were joined by Solarcycle, E-bike Junction and Hygge Bikes at St Peter’s Hospital this week so that staff could learn about the benefits of owning an eBike.

We are lucky to have e-Bike solar power charging stations (installed by Solarcycle) for staff to use, this forms part of our commitment to helping staff use more environmentally forms of transport and reduce our carbon footprint both as individuals and as a Trust 🚲

Delighted to have opened the new e-bike charging facility at Denbies alongside Paul Stratford, the Managing Director of SolarCycle, and Chris White and Jeanette Simpson of Denbies. The facility was funded by the County Council's "YourFund Surrey".

This is a fantastic new facility which will enable e-bikes to be charged from solar energy and to be used more easily on the Greenway trail.

💪 Their support has been overwhelming on Solarycle’s new partnership with Falco UK, - reporting on the first successful installation of 100% renewable, e-bike chargers in Falco shelters for NHS Wales Ystradgynlais Community Hospital!

🇪🇺 🇪🇸 It’s official! - Solarcycle announce expansion to Europe with Iberia in Spain with five ‘solar-in-a-box’ e-bike charging systems already operational!

Solarcycle Iberia was set up to meet to the rapid demand for workplace and community e-bike charging solutions in Spain and Europe, driven by new legislation and regulations around sustainable transport and renewable energy.

As a licensed partner, Solarcycle Iberia handles all manufacturing locally, with Solarcycle.uk providing the product roadmap, Bill of Materials (BOM), Assembly Guides, plus training and marketing support.

A big thank you to Paul Stratford, Sergio Dominguez and Fernando presa for their hard work and commitment in getting Solarcycle Iberia off to such a successful start.

The licensing model is scalable, and we're actively looking for partners in the rest of the world who are looking for an award-winning product with a strong roadmap to help the switch to carbonless commuting in other regions.

Very excited to announce we’re shortlisted in not just ONE, but TWO categories of Crest Business Awards - in recognition of Solarcycle’s off-grid e-bike chargers which help organisations meet their Transport, Environmental and Employee Wellbeing goals.

Award categories include 'Sustainability Impact' and 'Smarter Transport' - with results announced at an Awards evening hosted by sponsors, WWF in partnership with University of Surrey Institute for Sustainability, 26th October. More details on South East Business.

Previous winners include BNI Surrey 'Local Business - Global Network', Nordic Wellness and McLaren Applied, so we're really honoured.

Earlier this week, I visited Solar Cycle in Milford as part of my environment role at Surrey County Council. Check out their website here: solarcycle.uk

Solar Cycle is an innovative Surrey-based company that manufactures eBike charging solutions that eBike users can use to top up their batteries.

What I especially love and is unique about this solution is that all the power used to top up eBikes is off-grid solar, making it incredibly environmentally friendly.

I also love that the units are manufactured in Surrey. The cabinets, for instance, are fabricated in Camberley.

Solar Cycle, in conjunction with several related businesses, is surveying to try and understand what it would take to get people to switch their cars for an eBike.

I see a bright future for this Surrey-based company, and I hope to see their products out in the community soon so that when I am on one of my mega eBike rides, I can top up my battery and extend the range.
