Rear Extension, Loft Conversion & Full Refurbishment

This beautiful project in Queen’s Park comprised a substantial programme of works to a Victorian property, including:
• Structural alterations to support a new rear extension and loft conversion
• Installation of a new staircases and strengthening of existing floor structures
• Full internal refurbishment, including new services and finishes throughout
• Bespoke glazing systems
• Construction of a bespoke wooden kitchen and other joinery elements
• Polished concrete flooring

We are pleased that this project was recognised and featured on the cover of the October edition of “Grand Desings” Magazine 2025 and in "Architects’ Journal" under the name “Fawcet House.”.

Rear Extension & Full Refurbishment of the four-storey house in North London

This extensive project comprised the construction of a new rear extension alongside the full refurbishment of a four-storey property. The works included significant structural alterations, the formation of openings for bespoke semi-circular rooflights, supply and installation of glazing, bespoke kitchen, new flooring throughout, and complete mechanical and electrical upgrades. All bedrooms and bathrooms were fully refurbished to a high standard.

The project was delivered with a focus on build quality and precision, with finishes specified in natural tones to create a seamless connection between the internal living spaces and the garden.

We are very proud of our recently completed unique project in London NW6.
The project involved a rear extension to a mid terrace house and the full-house refurbishment along with the addition of a garden studio and external landscaping.
A bespoke oak kitchen and living space with large through views to the garden create a beautiful and calm interior. The design maximises the light from outside.

“The rear extension is clad in a zigzagging pattern of triangular sections of charred Oak (‘Honshu’), whilst the garden room envelope is charred Larch battens (‘Takage’); both products of Sho Sugi Ban, the Japanese technique of sealing timber through charring.” MATA Architects

We love what we do!

We successfully completed another project in London, E5.
This large terrace house in Hackney needed a complete renovation consisting of a new loft conversion, new rear extension to create a beautiful open plan kitchen/dining space, all new plumbing, heating system, electrics, new floors, glazing and decorating etc.
This unique and detailed design project was completed to a very high standard and we are very proud of it.

This project involved a single-storey full width rear extension to create the perfect interior for the kitchen/dining space. The works also included general refurbishment inside and outside of the property, brief was to design a larger and more social kitchen space with bespoke, wooden cupboards, Bianco Rihno marble worktops creating a natural and warm interior which extends into the garden through the large glass window, wide glass door and skylights above the dining table allowing natural light to flood the spaceThis project involved a single-storey full width rear extension to create the perfect interior for the kitchen/dining space. The bathrooms, which include a newly added shower, were modified to be sleek and contemporary. Natural colours created a bright, relaxing and fresh interior.
The rest of the works included new flooring, redecorating of the whole house, new heating system and full electrical re-wiring.

A large basement conversion with full width single-storey rear extension in Tufnell Park, N19, London.
Main renovation works included a full excavation of the basement to create a modern kitchen with a dining space running the full length of the rear extension and leading to the small, newly refurbished garden area. The new look of the house was designed with a modern feel – a flat roof, large bifold doors and skylights creating an abundance of a daylight inside. The kitchen layout consists of a line of bespoke cupboards and the island that runs towards the snug box seating area at the end.

This project included a major basement development creating a generous amount of the living area as well as a balcony above the basement extension with breathtaking views of the City of London. The aim of the newly structured basement was to create an open dinning and living space together with a large kitchen. The impressive double-height glazing above the dinning area, the stairs and the first floor hall has allowed stunning natural light in, brightening the new spaces.
