Stop the Chainsaws, Save the Trees! 🌳

In Nigeria, indiscriminate tree felling for fuel wood, agriculture, and urban development is leading to devastating deforestation. Our forests, from coastal mangroves to montane regions, are disappearing at an alarming rate. A recent Royal Society-funded project, involving the University of York, Bayero University Kano, and University College London, is working towards providing clean cooking solutions to reduce the reliance on fuel wood. By improving access to modern energy, we can conserve our forests and protect biodiversity. Let's support sustainable practices and ensure a greener future for Nigeria.

Learn more about this crucial initiative and how it aims to protect our environment and communities. 🌿
