Garle was born 5/10/1992 in Bakau, Gambia to Nenegarle Jahllow and Amadou Bah. At the age of two, Garle went to live in Hamburg, Germany with his mother and stepdad Rudolf Werner. Garle had a very good upbringing. His stepdad in particular was very supportive of Garle throughout his life and had a big part in his upbringing. Mr Rudolf was always there for Garle. He could not have had a better step
dad than him. Garle also had a very strong link and relationship with the rest of his family. He liked to go on holiday to Africa and in some occasions he would spend three to four months there. He was loved by everyone not just family and friends but by people from all walks of life. This was because of the person he was. Anyone who knew Garle would tell you the same. Garle was kind, friendly and had a good sense of humour. As well as being a very proud young man. Garle started "Solar Project" recently with the help of his stepdad Mr Rudolf. They brought solar system to the Gambia to help poor families in the community able to have access to electricity. Unfortunately, his life was taken away from him at the young age of just 23. Given this sad circumstance, I as a father and all of the family want to make sure that this project helps to raise awareness for anyone who knew Garle and people alike. By launching "Solar Project" in Garle' name will help to continue the positive intentions to get young people to engage in supporting community projects like this one. Solar Project objectives are to highlight the achievements of young people who have not been involved in violence or crime. Hopefully our youngsters will see them as role models by giving their views and advice to help them understand that they can achieve positive things in their life. We aspire to do this through interviews or links via blogs and websites ie Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Young people who are doing well can help support and make a big impact in our society. In the future, we want to be able to take a group of young people between the age of 14-23 on trips to Africa to get them involved in projects like solar and helping communities set up solar systems and getting them engaged in positive community work. This will make them part of something positive and most importantly, proud of themselves. Being able to help others will make a massive impact on their lives. We welcome all of your support including comments, advice, help and volunteers. Keep checking our website for the latest updates! For more info go to
