Crendon shortlisted for the TTJ Environmental Achievement Award 2026!

We’re delighted to announce that Crendon Timber Engineering has been shortlisted for the Timber Trades Journal Environmental Achievement Award 2026, recognising our continued commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our operations.

Our environmental progress includes:

☀️ Solar: Over 50% of our electricity requirements generated by solar PV across our 12 manufacturing locations.

🚛 Fleet: 95% of our HGV delivery fleet upgraded to Euro 6 compliant vehicles.

🔌 EV: Charging points installed at all 12 manufacturing locations, with all new company cars fully electric or hybrid.

⚡ Equipment: Two-thirds of our forklift and side loader electrification programme completed.

🌳 EPDs: Environmental Product Declarations in place for Roof Trusses and Posi-Joist Metal Web Joists.

We are proud to be shortlisted, this is fantastic recognition of the progress we’re making towards a more sustainable future.

Congratulations to Mark Vincent, Sales and Commercial Manager at Crendon Wem, who reached 40 years of service yesterday.

Mark started work as a Production Operative in 1986, progressing to Factory Manager within a few years, a position he held for 15 years. In 2008, he moved into sales and design and has been Sales & Commercial Manager for the branch since 2019.

Adam Phillips, Crendon Wem Branch Manager said, ‘Mark has been an exceptional and committed employee for many years and continues to be a vital part of the team here. We hope he has many more years left with us yet!’

🏗 Project Complete | Premier Inn Merthyr Tydfil - Extension
Our Ebbw Vale and Glastonbury teams worked in collaboration recently to complete a 14-bedroom, two-storey extension to the Premier Inn in Merthyr Tydfil, delivering a fully engineered timber solution, that included:

✔ Fully installed by the Crendon Supply & Fit team
