"IN-Tendo", Precise Indirect Bonding This page is dedicated to "Precise Indirect Bonding" techniques for Labial and Lingual fixed Orthodontics.

It is based around the instruments and lab techniques we innovated and own. All images, instruments and techniques are copyrighted. Precise Indirect Bonding systems uses the NEW IN-Tendo instruments T.T.S and B.P.I. plus the lab techniques for Lingual or Labial placement of orthodontic brackets on models to precise values and then put into a super transfer tray for easy and quick placement in the patients mouth. Customization via set-up models and measuring is all part of IN-tendo!

Lingual Ortho- bonding in sequence to fit all brackets onto this malocclusion model was not easy, but I achieved it in the right sequence. As the instrument brings the bracket to the lingual surface following a predetermined preset plane and angles, then where crowding exists we might have to bond in 2 phases. However I managed to make some adjustments to get all brackets bonded

I know I haven't posted for a long time, life has been changing rapidly and time flies when your getting older🤓
I would like to thank all of my followers for the last 20 years of doing Lingual. From my first foray into Dr Fillion's Paris lab in 2004 and 2005 for 2 weeks each time, to developing my own instruments in 2006, then the continuing path looking for a new hybrid way of working between doing Kesling set-ups and then customized bonding on the master models using the information gained from that process...this lead to the IN-tendo system. The name was suggested by Terry Whitty in Australia who said it was Latin for making something stretch out to work together. These were the days before we could click on Gemini...look up intendo 😄😅
But he was right, I was stretching the techniques out into something for the 21st century, especially by making the first digital instrument to measure the 'Tip and Torque' digitally in Orthodontics. I hate those terms as it then creates confusion as to what were/ are doing. We measured ( and still do) the Mesio-distal Angulation of teeth and the labio-lingual inclination, which helped develop personalized prescriptions for bonding lingual ...OR labial brackets to dental models and then transfer that to the patients, to make the outcome more predictable.
I was focussing and directing my mind to find a better system. Lingual was booming and I did courses all over the world with my good friend and clinical instructor Valdetaro from Brazil.
We were present at conventions / meetings and later I decided to invent a new passive self ligating bracket with Hangzhou DTC Medical Apparatus co.LTD
I am now getting ready for retirement and I have 4 new sets of IN-tendo instruments for sale at almost cost price. Suitable for universities or private clinics that still want to bond their own cases in- house or in the case of Uni's study cases to measure the changes in tooth positions.
The new instruments should last for years as there is no electronic to fail on the 'Torque & Angulation device' which is now all manual. The Bracket positioning device uses easy replaceable parts such as modified electronic callipers and standard Dial Test Indicators.
PM me if you want to take advantage of this time and I would be still willing to teach. I also have lots of show models for sale ideal for courses or showing patients lingual Orthodontics.
