We’re hiring - Engineering Craftsperson (Grinding Focus)
📍 Lowestoft

We’re looking for a multi-skilled engineer with strong grinding experience to join the Polgain team.

Hours:
• Mon–Thurs: 07:00–16:00
• Fri: 07:00–13:00

Pay & Benefits:
• £13.70 – £15.01 per hour (depending on experience)
• 31 days holiday (including bank holidays)
• Overtime available

The role:
• Manual & CNC machining
• Turning, milling, and grinding (surface, internal, external, taper)
• Reading drawings and working to tight tolerances
• Inspection using measuring equipment
• General engineering and fitting work

This is a varied, multi-skilled role. You’ll be expected to adapt across different jobs depending on production needs.

You’ll need:
• Solid engineering experience (machining/fitting)
• Ability to read drawings and work accurately
• Good attention to detail
• A reliable, team-focused attitude

Bonus if you have:
• Strong grinding experience
• CNC experience
• Apprenticeship or similar background

We run a safe, well-organised workshop where quality matters. You’ll be supported with training and development as you build your skills.
