ADD Consulting provided Structural Engineering services for a new 1100m2 classroom block at St John’s primary school, Kingisland.
The new classroom block unifies all teaching facilities at the school under one roof.
Boasting 7 new state of the art classrooms revolving around seperate Keystage 1 and Keystage 2 resource areas, the new building also accommodates a sizeable ICT suite, generous toilet facilities for both children and staff, a hygiene room, cloakrooms and cleaning facilities.
Renovation works were performed to the existing assembly hall / gym on site while another existing building was reconfigured into an administration block. This building houses areas including but not limited to the reception desk / secretaries office, the head masters office and a sizeable staff room.
Externally new 2G play areas was added along with a separate 4G sports pitch.

Historical Fabric Was Retained, Repaired & Strengthened As Much As Possible, While Also Creating The Spaces & Flow In Accordance With The Architectural Design.
