Radiator removed from an unused chimney breast, I created a bit of space (and noise!) and then in with the new!
Slate hearth, high temperature rated tiles and a Woodwarm Stove.
Ready for use and some final decoration 🔥

Not all chimneys were created equal.
This one enjoys a fine view over Foreland Point and Scillery Sands. I spent longer than necessary checking out the state of the chimney pots…but at least now I have a plan of how to continue! 👌🔥

This job will have a great before and after transformation, so that can wait until I’ve finished….

A recent Open Fire to Multifuel Stove conversion!
Fireback opened up to suit the new stove and allow airflow around it, decorative tiles added to the face to make good. 🔥
Completed with a Technoflex liner.

Throughout January, I have mostly been helping my wife setup a brand new Yoga and Wellness Studio in Lynton!
Feeling quite proud of the before and after, I think even her handstand has improved 🤣

Last week we shared in incident in Oxfordshire where logs stored to the side of a stove caught fire, causing a small amount of damage.

Over the weekend we were alerted to another incident attended by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, Again, the fire is understood to have started with logs stored next to wood burning stove.

This time round the property suffered 90% smoke and fire damaged.

We cannot stress enough the importance of ensuring that combustible materials are stored away from your stove.

Please check your appliance instructions and move your firewood away from your stove.

The original chimney breast had been removed in this room, so I built a new one!
New slate hearth from , to compliment a new multifuel stove and flue liner.
