Meanwhile… at HQ 😎

The boys are out grafting, but me, Imogen, and the dog are enjoying a well-earned lie-in. Festive coffees (decaf, obviously), Christmas wax melts burning, Stranger Things on the telly… bliss.

Of course, I’m not completely off duty — addresses sorted, cement collected, new angle grinder blade tracked down. Mark’s world would literally END if I wasn’t on the other end of the phone 😂.

Wall in progress… and already looking slick 🧱😎

The rain’s backed off, so the lads are straight in there, carefully laying each brick and keeping those lines sharp. The wall’s really starting to strut its stuff — proper prep, proper graft, and a finish that’s showing off already. More progress to follow…

Footings in. Bricks stacked. No messing about 🧱

This week’s job? A 15 metre x 2 metre wall.
We’ve got 2000 bricks on site and we’re just waiting on the final delivery.
The trees have been cut back, the footings are dug and ready, and the boys were laying not long after this photo was taken.

Only thing slowing us down now? The rain. Typical.
As soon as it backs off, we’re straight back at it.

Proper prep, proper pace, proper brickwork.

Yes, we’re brickies… but we don’t just do bricks. We can concrete too.

This week’s job? Widening a driveway:
* Took down the pier and half the wall
* Shortened the railings
* Dug out the flower bed
* Shifted tonnes of soil
* Capped off a rogue pipe (with proper drainage advice of course 😉)
* Laid the sub base, sand and DPM
* And now we’re getting the concrete down and rebuilding the pier 💪

We caught the apprentice perched on a bulk bag of MOT 1 like he’s Santa’s understudy.
Tis nearly the season after all… 🎅🏻🎄😂

Job complete and these walls are officially glowing up ready for the house to be sold. The boys grafted, the 325 reclaimed Accrington bricks behaved, and the finish honestly speaks for itself. Nothing better than bringing a tired old wall back to life with proper craftsmanship and a bit of cheeky elbow grease.

Almost there! 🧱✨

We’ve been busy bees and we’re just putting the finishing touches on a big project - 325 Accrington bricks cleaned, replaced, and carefully set into their new homes.

Next up: A big site clean and some shine to make the walls look fresh and beautiful (a bit like us 😉😂)

Bead chaos and pure determination 💪🏻

We’re still on a huge brick replacement job. And it’s a case of - ‘if you can’t find Max, follow the trail of insulation beads and sarcasm’.

His setup: a trowel (because who needs a hawk anyway?!), a steady tuck hand, and a bucket full of insulation beads that seem determined to join the team.
The site looks like it’s been hit by a festive polystyrene blizzard, but he’s still grafting through it like a pro.
We’re calling it: accidental Christmas decor, builder edition 🎄🧱

Small December slot now free (yes, we’re still holding a trowel in the cold!) 🧱🥶

One of our pre-Christmas projects has been pushed back, which means we’ve unexpectedly got a little gap in the diary this December — rare, we know.

We’ll still be out there in the cold doing the usual brickwork, walls, and repairs, but it’s also the perfect time for indoor work like exposed brick fireplace renovations or heritage lime repairs (Mark’s a bit of a magician with that stuff — even if he won’t admit it).

New van, who dis? 🚐✨

It’s fair to say we’ve come a long way…
When we started out, Mark was driving around with bags of sand and cement in the boot of the car 😂 then one van broke down on the first day — now look at us!

We’ve grown bit by bit (and brick by brick), and we honestly couldn’t have done it without our amazing customers — and a special shoutout to Mum and Dad, who’ve helped in more ways than we can count ❤️
