The new Enterprise National League National League South season is well and truly underway at the Fusion Aviation Community Stadium, on our first MX Elite woven pitch installed in the UK.
Delivered in partnership with Velocity Sports Ltd, MX Elite brings high-performance woven turf technology to the English game. A surface built to hold its shape through the busiest weeks of a season, with the fibres interlaced rather than tufted to keep the blades standing upright.
Equal yarn spacing delivers natural ball roll across the whole pitch, while a mix of three fibre shapes and colours gives the pitch the look and feel of natural grass. It’s a different approach to artificial turf, engineered from the ground up around how the surface looks, plays and performs over time.
For Horsham FC that means more football and far less risk of weather-related postponements, a facility that works as hard for the club’s women’s, youth and veterans’ teams during the week as it does for the first team on a Saturday.
The club carried out extensive research before committing to the investment, and only four home fixtures into the season, the new surface is already becoming a central part of life at the stadium.
A great project to be part of, and a significant addition to the club’s facilities for years to come.
