Sparked at Forefront, developed with SKEWB Climate, and aligned with Cadent Gas Limited's Critical Risks, our new VR safety initiative gives teams a safe space to fail, learn, and adapt 🤝

Instead of just hearing about the risks of gas, electrical hazards, or excavations, VR lets users see the consequences of a bad decision, reset, and choose the safer route 💭

We’re live with 3 headsets and 6 modules (plus 6 more on the way), with plans to expand into broader training and customer engagement 🌟

24 HOURS TO RESPOND & 2 HOURS TO COMPLETE!

When a structural issue has the potential to put the public at risk, we can’t waste any time 🤞

Our team was called in by BT Openreach to carry out emergency structural propping to a below-ground structure in Southall, following concerns over potential collapse 😦

Within just 24 hours, we had the team, equipment and traffic management in place and were ready to go ✅

Once on site, the area was secured and our team safely accessed the structure and installed Acrow props to provide immediate support 👷

In just 2 hours, the structure was supported, the public risk was mitigated and the emergency works were completed safely with minimal disruption 🤝

A massive well done to everyone involved for responding so quickly and getting the job done safely and efficiently under pressure 🎉

Great results for two members of our Complex Manholes team! 🌟

A big well done to Marc and Shaun, who have recently completed their Confined Space Training with Entry Controller 📑

The two day course covered both learning and testing, including practical and written assessments, and they both did brilliantly! Marc passed with 90% and Shaun passed with 98% 👏

The examiner was really impressed, commenting on their “good knowledge and experience within our industry” and describing them as “very competent.”

Confined space training is an important part of what we do, helping our teams understand the risks involved when working in and around complex manholes ⚠️

Both Marc and Shaun have now gained their City & Guilds qualification, valid for three years 🗓️

A fantastic result and something they should both be proud of. Well done lads!

Today is a reminder that mental health matters to everyone, every day 🧠

Behind every traffic cone is a person who deserves to go home safely at the end of their shift 🦺

For drivers, temporary traffic lights and roadworks can feel like a frustrating delay, but for the people working on the road, it is a vital safety barrier between them and live traffic 🚧

Modern traffic management combines established standards with technology to help keep everyone on site safe:

• Clear, compliant layouts - following the relevant 12A/B and 12D requirements helps provide drivers with clear guidance and early warning.

• Smart temporary signals - battery and solar powered systems with remote monitoring can reduce the need for roadside call outs and help minimise unnecessary exposure to live traffic. We use Berlex Traffic lights as standard on all of our sites.

• Incursion protection - site alarms, vehicle barriers and other protective measures can alert teams when vehicles enter unauthorised areas.

• Effective site lighting - good lighting and clear sightlines are essential for keeping both road users and workers safe, particularly during night works.

Next time you approach roadworks, slow down and follow the signs. Those few extra seconds of patience could help make sure someone gets home safely 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

We’re excited to share that our specialist team has officially completed critical underpinning works for The Old Hall Hotel in Coventry - a beautiful Grade II listed building 🏛️

Working on historic sites demands a high level of technical expertise. Our primary goal was to strengthen the building's foundations without compromising its original structure 🧱

Following strict conservation guidelines and listed building consent, our team carefully worked in sections to transfer the hotel's load onto a much more stable base 👷‍♂️

It’s been a process demanding extreme precision and safety precautions. Huge well done to everyone on site who made this part of the project a success! 🌟

Our network alteration works for Openreach are progressing well and are now nearing completion 👷‍♂️

The team has been working within a confined manhole environment, carrying out the necessary network alterations safely, all while working to a challenging three week programme agreed with all interested parties ⏳

Led on site by Nick and his experienced team, the works have continued to progress smoothly, with their knowledge and experience playing a key role in delivering the project to programme 👏

A great example of the importance of good planning with experienced teams 📋

Well done to Nick and everyone involved in getting this project over the line! 🌟
