If you don’t spend as much time as we do in and around a forest, it’s hard to grasp how important forests are to the millions of people, plants and animals that call them home. But did you know that healthy forests and ecosystems help us no matter how far away we are? They also drive economic growth.

Ecosystem services are the various benefits that humans derive from healthy ecosystems like forests, and they are valued at $150 trillion. That’s twice the world’s GDP.

If we lose our forests, we lose much more than biodiversity. And yet more than 50% of natural ecosystems are already declining.

There are many things we, as individuals, can do for the forests. None of these require living close to a forest and anyone can get involved. Choose your one thing for forests today!

- Look for the FSC® logo: It’s on millions of products worldwide and means that the forest materials in the product come from an FSC-certified forest like ours, or reclaimed or controlled sources.

- Silence your phone and get outside: The apps on our phones are consuming our time and money. By spending this time outside (in nature if you can), you’ll not only shop less, which will reduce your environmental footprint, but you’ll find a renewed appreciation for nature.

- Shift your shopping habits: Consider secondhand options or fixing things yourself.

- Switch up how you eat: Adding more plants to your diet will reduce the pressure on the world’s forests.

- Tell a friend: Spread the word about the importance of sustainable forestry to advance our collective mission for the world’s forests.

Along with our partners HALT - Natural Fire Retardant Treatment, Brooks Bros is proud to announce the launch of Euro Class B fire-treated cladding EX STOCK! Western Red Cedar, ThermoWood, and Thermo Radiata Pine are all available with delivery in just 7-10 working days (yes, days – not weeks!).
In addition, our partners Kebony have achieved an exciting breakthrough. We are now able to offer Kebony Clear to Euro Class System B-S1-D0, the highest standard timber can achieve!

Every order from Brooks Bros comes with full documentation, including a Declaration of Performance, guaranteeing that products meet the exacting standards proven through testing at an accredited facility. CE certification is provided via an independent Notified Body, and a Certificate of Constancy of Performance (CCoP) can also be supplied as evidence. It’s essential that any coating applied to fire-retardant wood is tested on the same species to ensure reliability.

We also offer Burnblock®-impregnated fire treatment through HALT - Natural Fire Retardant Treatment. Fully compliant with Euro Class B, Burnblock is made from 100% natural, biodegradable, and non-toxic ingredients. Unlike surface-applied lacquers, which can peel and leave timber exposed, Burnblock penetrates the wood, providing lasting fire resistance for the timber’s entire lifespan 🔥
