We’re pleased to share that Argyle has achieved Constructionline Gold membership! 🟡

This accreditation reflects the standards we work to across the business, from health and safety through to quality, environmental management and compliance.

To achieve Gold, businesses must complete an enhanced pre-qualification process aligned with the Common Assessment Standard. This includes verified financial checks, SSIP health and safety accreditation, and robust policies covering areas such as environmental management, quality, and equal opportunities.

It also requires detailed operational evidence, including RAMS, training records and company procedures, demonstrating how standards are applied on site, not just documented.

For our clients and partners, it provides added assurance that we meet recognised industry benchmarks and maintain those standards across every project we deliver.

Today is Earth Day, and a moment for us to reflect on the role our industry plays in shaping environmental impact , highlighting the difference we can make on every project, every day.

Over the past year, we’ve continued to deliver infrastructure improvements across the regions we work in, with total resurfacing increasing to 107 million km. A large proportion of that has been in areas that need it most, with resurfacing in deprived areas rising significantly year on year.

Alongside delivery, there’s been a clear focus on reducing impact:

🌍 Carbon emissions have reduced across operations year on year
♻️ Recycling rates have remained consistently high at around 98–99%
🛣️ Materials are being reused wherever possible to minimise waste

These are practical changes that happen on site, across planning, delivery and materials management.

There’s always more to improve, but steady progress across each project is what drives long-term change.

Surfacing works often come at the point where everything else depends on getting it right.

Whether it’s a new road, a car park or remedial works on a live site, timing and quality matter.

Argyle delivers a wide range of surfacing solutions across the North West, from small patching works to full road construction. Our teams are experienced in working around ongoing operations, coordinating with other trades, and meeting tight deadlines without compromising on finish.

Reliable delivery and a finish that lasts, that’s what clients expect, and what we focus on.

We’re proud to share that our apprentice Josh Graham has been nominated for Intermediate Apprentice of the Year for the GM Skills Awards 2026! 👏

Josh’s journey into construction hasn’t been straightforward, but that’s exactly what makes this recognition so well deserved.

After progressing through the Build Salford programme, Josh joined Argyle with a clear determination to build a future for himself. From day one, his attitude has stood out. He turns up, puts the work in, and takes every opportunity to learn and improve.

The feedback from site teams has been consistently positive, and his commitment to both work and college shows in the progress he continues to make.

What really sets Josh apart is the example he’s setting. His work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn are having a real impact, showing others what can be achieved with the right mindset.

We’re delighted to see him recognised in this way and look forward to seeing what comes next! Well done Josh! 👏

Complex ground conditions🔸Live services 🔸Multiple contractors.

At Salford Rise, our civils and drainage teams delivered a fully integrated infrastructure package to support the new bridge and surrounding public realm works.

Careful phasing, technical coordination and disciplined delivery ensured the scheme remained aligned with the wider programme.

This is what joined up infrastructure looks like.
