Today, we're making our green commitment official with the launch of Think Energy Group's first formal ESG Strategy.

Sustainability has been part of how we operate since day one.
What's changed is the structure behind it.

That structure includes our emissions targets: net-zero across Scope 1 and 2 by 2035, and Scope 3 by 2050, with a 90% cut locked in and validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.
But the strategy goes wider than decarbonisation. It commits us to cutting waste at source through a circular economy approach, backing nature-positive outcomes around our sites, and investing in our people through volunteering, wellbeing and an inclusive culture.

It reinforces our Energy-as-a-Service model; every business we provide energy infrastructure to gets cleaner power on site, backed by data and a clear framework for reporting its emissions impact.

This is already built on what we've been doing: validations, certifications, ongoing commitments and partnerships: SBTi validation, an Excellent rating from the Considerate Constructors Scheme, and an EcoVadis Bronze rating, putting us in the top 35% of businesses assessed globally.

As Neil Richardson, Think Energy Group CEO and Founder, said: "Cleaner energy has to work commercially, or it doesn't work at all. Publishing this means holding ourselves to account, with real evidence and a plan we can be measured against."

Heath Mansell, our Head of ESG, who led this strategy, put it this way:
"Our ESG strategy is focused on driving tangible change and creating lasting value for our customers and society. We are committed to understanding and responding to our customers' evolving needs while supporting sustainable growth across our business. By working together, we can reduce environmental impact, deliver long-term value, and help build a more sustainable future."

Think Hire Ltd, a division of Think Energy Group, has just renewed its ISO certifications across three management standards, and this year there's an important update.

For the first time, our St Albans depot is now included in the scope alongside our Oldham HQ.

ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001:2018 (Health & Safety Management). All three were independently audited and certified across both sites.

It was a demanding audit process, and we're proud our team nailed it.

As we grow, our standards grow with us.

Think Hire, a division of Think EnergyGroup, is back in The Sunday Times 100, the prestigious annual ranking of Britain's fastest-growing private companies by The Times and The Sunday Times, for the third consecutive year.

The pace of growth required to secure a place on the list remains high, which makes this third consecutive recognition particularly meaningful. Sustained growth in challenging trading conditions is driven by accelerating demand for sustainable solutions across every critical sector.

As the UK's leading off-grid Energy-as-a-Service provider, Think Hire continues to redefine how customers access sustainable energy, wherever the grid can't reach, and carbon targets can't wait.

Thank you to the team who make it happen every day, and to the customers and partners who trust us to deliver.

The world must reach net zero by 2050, and companies have a crucial part to play in getting there.

Think Hire, a division of Think Energy Group, has had its net zero targets officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, placing us among only 2,498 companies globally with approved net zero targets.

Our targets commit us to a 63% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2035, and net zero across all scopes by 2050.

This validation was led by our Head of ESG, Heath Mansell, who ensured our commitments met the rigorous SBTi assessment criteria.
Now our decarbonisation roadmap is independently verified, science-led, and publicly visible on the SBTi Target Dashboard.

Heath said: "Our Science Based Targets approval is an important milestone in our decarbonisation strategy and reflects our commitment to credible, science-led climate action, giving us a robust framework to drive meaningful emissions reduction and long-term business resilience. Our focus now is on delivery and embedding decarbonisation across our operations and value chain."

Neil Richardson, Think Energy Group CEO and Founder, added: "Our clients trust us to help them decarbonise their sites, and this validation means our own roadmap is now grounded in climate science, independently verified and open to scrutiny. That's exactly how it should work."

The work now is delivery.

Our vision of net-zero machinery and operations is coming to life.

L Lynch Plant Hire & Haulage are trialling EV technology at their Brampton prep works, and we're proud to be their partner on it. We're supporting the trial with our SiteGrid X500 BESS, the most powerful unit in our fleet, built for exactly this kind of demand, including energising a 20-tonne electric SANY excavator.

Low emissions from day one. A busy summer of civils and plant training ahead, and the site is ready for it.

When customers commit to finding more sustainable ways of working, we want to be the partner that makes it possible. Getting it right first time, on a real site, with real kit, is how that commitment becomes standard practice.

Net-zero on paper is one thing. Net-zero on a working site is another.

This is what a sustainable approach looks like in real life.

Our latest carbon reduction report shows a 28% decrease in Scope 1 and 2 emissions between 2024 and 2025.

This has been largely driven by our transition to an electric fleet, reducing our direct emissions and reliance on fossil fuels.

We're taking responsible action on carbon reduction, with expert support from Positive Planet Planet to make sure our commitments translate into real, measurable progress.

And this is our second consecutive year as Positive Planet Bronze certified.

There's still work to do.
Our targets are set: net-zero for Scope 1 and 2 by 2035, and net-zero across all emissions, including Scope 3, by 2050.

We help our customers cut carbon.
And we hold ourselves to the same standard.
