At 10 meters high up to the glass and working off a tower this wasn't one for those afraid of heights. This took a bit longer than expected but the final results when painted were well worth the additional effort.

Bond - Moseley Street, Manchester

Gazelle Art Plaster were appointed by Bruntwood to undertake both solid and fibrous restoration works to the 33,000ft2, four storey Grade 2* old Royal Bank of Scotland building on Moseley Street in Manchester city center.

Gazelle Art Plaster were subcontracted by Cubic Works who were the main contractor and we worked closely alongside AXI Architects Ltd, Bruntwood (Client) and Manchester City Council conservation officers throughout.

The works were divided into two separate packages, the first heritage package entailed the strip out and reinstatement of the original 1856 side of the building, this was both fibrous and solid plasterwork and included the installation of metal studwork to create new down stands to carry match to existing cornice, replicating the original floor plan. Thus showing the history and change of the building over the years as requested by AXI and Manchester City Council's conservation department.

The second phase was new cornice installation across all WC's corridors and lift lobbies, both within the original wing of the building as well as the newer wing built 1970's. This phase also encompassed the installation of a large coffered ceiling to the entrance lobby and reception lounge consisting of over 120 coffered bays. Altogether over both phases, over 1600m of numerous different cornices were supplied and fitted or restored in situ as well as capitols, arches, beam cases, roses and numerous enrichments.

Hi all, we have recently completed a large project in Manchester City centre and are now able to take on new projects. Here are a few photos of a domestic job completed in Didsbury where we supplied and installed one of our classical stock Victorian cornices and two plain Victorian ceiling roses.

This was a nice job to finish the year, with all construction works undertaken in house and Gazelle liaising with structural engineers and local authority building control. We undertook a kitchen/dining room knock through, creating a more useable and inviting space for family time and entertaining guests. As part of the works we installed an enriched Victorian swan neck cornice with integrated LED lighting strip, cast and fitted a 31 piece ceiling rose and assembled and installed a 10 arm chandelier before fully decorating in a rich and classic green to suit.
