My name is Anthony Birchall and with my Partner Mandy Thompson we created Smartsaver Limited to help other business people save on their largest bills.
It was always our desire to never give our clients an excuse to leave us!

We have built our business purely on our reputation and customer referral as we have never spent on SEO or advertising because of the costs.
When our competitors spend on advertising that money must come from somewhere and it's up to you out there to figure out who pays for that?

Smartsaver limited faced many challenges from both our competitors and the Gas and Electric suppliers when looking after our clients.
Many business owners go direct to the suppliers thinking that brokers are just a middleman. 🧐

The truth is that when you go direct to a supplier you go to the Suppliers internal salary sales teams who want to make as much money out of you as they can and don't care how you are treated moving forward.

The prices that brokers get is from a separate market like a barter between suppliers.

• Suppliers will always give brokers a LOWER BASE PRICE to work from than even their own sales teams!
🔥 This is because brokers all have their own client base. 🔥

• If you are a business owner, you really need to pay attention to this.

• The proof is in the pudding. Every time we have priced for our clients even as a renewal, we have always beaten that same supplier’s direct renewal price.

🔥This is so important to understand! 🔥

OFGEM have given many brokers a bad Press and some of it is deserved. Generally, though like most Government Schemes they can sometimes be a little bit disconnected to the real world.

The Pandemic also threatened us as a business as many Gas and Electricity Suppliers stopped trading on contracts, so we had no business for nearly two years however we battled through & survived 🙏whereas many large brokers crashed because of their outlay and no money coming in.

Mandy and I have always challenged ourselves not just in this industry but also our hobby which is competitive Latin American dancing.
We are three times British National Champions, Four times UK Closed champions, 2 times European champions and twice we've made British Open Finals and four times World Open Finals.
As people we are tough as nails, but we are also empathic to our fellow human beings. We are good people.
