Twenty Three members of staff are swapping PPE for their running attire and taking on the 10K route of the event.

Our chosen charity is Blood Cancer UK, which is a rock for many people battling with the disease.

Celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week with Daina and Emma heading out to see our operatives on site. Equipped with baked supplies the guys chatted with everyone on site and ensured that everyone felt Monday positivity.

Daina took the chance to introduce herself as the company Mental Health First Aid representative, while Emma managed to gather valuable insights into working site procedure and how we promote positive application of training.

Following the success of our first apprentices Kieran & Will, who began their Steeplejack apprenticeship in November 2025, it’s great to see the progress they have already made.

They are taking real ownership of their career development, consistently engaging with the programme and returning from each college block with increased skills and confidence on site.

As a result of this positive start, we have now enrolled two further employees Jack and Troy onto the same apprenticeship pathway. Which was the same apprenticeship route taken by Scott Bentley, Managing Director and owner of the company earlier in his career.

This structured approach to continuous learning is helping to develop capable, reliable, and highly valuable members of the team. It also strengthens our Industrial Services division and the wider group by bringing in motivated, well trained individuals who are building expertise in their chosen field.

Our annual easter collaboration with local Oasis Academy Harpur Mount saw Rigg Tech representatives head down and deliver a selection of easter eggs to a group of children, hopefully making the easter weekend a special one.

It was really inspiring to meet these children, and they were all a credit to their school.

Commitment to local community is a priority for us at Rigg Tech, and with many of our staff members having strong links to East Manchester, helping locally where we can means a lot more than just the generosity of corporate wealth.
