Last year we worked with the a child’s swish foundation helping to develop more support for children with cancer.

In the Mansfield area buisness and some homes where sent these books explaining what the make a wish foundation does and which buisness supported it .

In the Mansfield area the predict cash raised was £10,000 we smashed it out the park
raising £95,000 !!! All of that money stays in the Mansfield area ! . Well done Mansfield !!

🚧 WATER SUPPLY & TARMAC REINSTATEMENT — BIRMINGHAM & STAFFORD

Another job completed for a returning customer.

We regularly work alongside our subcontractors on water supply and repair works, helping customers who may have noticed their water meter constantly spinning, an unusually high water bill, or a suspected leak.

Once the water works were completed, our team was brought in to reinstate the affected areas — including a road and two tarmac driveways.

We carried out the necessary preparation before finishing the areas with quality hot-laid tarmac, leaving everything safe, tidy and properly reinstated.

Gable End Repointing – A Difficult Access Job

Another job completed by the Underwoods Contractors team.

This one presented a few challenges. The gable end had an existing canopy that we didn’t want to remove, along with overhead electrical cables, which meant conventional steel scaffolding wasn’t a suitable option.

We brought our own aluminium tower scaffold, allowing us to work around the canopy and position the scaffold safely while maintaining a safe distance from the overhead electrics.

Once access was safely established, we carefully removed the existing failed mortar, prepared the joints and fully repointed the gable end.

For this customer, it wasn’t just about making the brickwork look better. The main priority was protecting her home from damp and preventing further deterioration.

A challenging job, carefully planned and completed with the right equipment and a lot of attention to detail.

🏡 From a small job to a complete garden transformation!

What started out as a simple fencing job and some muck away quickly turned into a much bigger project for this customer.

An old, poorly constructed building had been left taking up valuable garden space, so the first job was to remove it and clear everything away.

Once we got stuck in, we ended up completely transforming the boundaries:

🔨 11 bays of quality new fencing installed along the adjoining boundary for the neighbour , replacing an existing fence that was around 15 years old and well past its best.

🔨 A further 5 bays of 10ft fencing installed for the clients property, giving both gardens a fresh, secure and much-needed upgrade.

♻️ Rather than simply loading everything into a wagon and taking it away, we crushed and repurposed the existing waste on site, using the recovered material as a suitable base for a new concrete area.

This allowed the customer to make better use of their garden space, while also helping to keep the overall cost down.

And the best part?

⏱️ The whole project was completed in just 4?days.

From removing an old structure and clearing the site, to new boundaries, reclaimed materials and a brand-new concrete base — all completed with minimal disruption.

The customers were absolutely over the moon with the finished result, and that’s exactly what we aim for with every job.

A simple upgrade that makes a big difference. 🪜🏡

Our customer wanted a safer, more practical way to access her loft and make better use of the space for storage and decluttering her home.

We removed the existing loft hatch and installed a quality loft ladder system, creating a perfectly sized opening for easy and safe access.

As with every job, we took the time to protect the customer’s home by sheeting off the staircase and work area, ensuring everything was left clean and tidy before we left.

The result is a much more accessible loft, extra storage space, and one very happy customer. In fact, she’s already booked us in for more work!

Sometimes finding the leak is the biggest challenge. 💧

A couple of weeks ago, we carried out a major excavation in Solihull to repair a water leak that was losing around 550 litres per hour. After completing the repair, everything appeared to be resolved.

However, following a further inspection by Severn Trent, the property was still losing around 100 litres per hour. Rather than assuming the first repair had failed, we returned to investigate further.

After carefully digging by hand, we discovered a second leak. The cause was an old concrete slab that had been left directly on top of the water pipe during previous backfilling works. Over many years, the constant pressure had worn through the pipe, creating a pinhole leak. Considering these pipes were installed back in 1990, they’ve stood the test of time remarkably well.

We repaired the damaged section, reinstated the excavation, backfilled the area, and had everything completed in a single day.

This job is a good reminder that underground leaks aren’t always caused by one fault. Sometimes it takes persistence, experience, and a thorough investigation to solve the problem properly—and that’s exactly what we’re here to do.

Another project moving forward for our client. 👷‍♂️🧱

On this job, we altered an existing concrete base to create the foundations for a new outdoor office and summer house.

As part of the works, we:
✔️ Excavated and altered the existing foul drain ready for future connections.
✔️ Extended the water supply to serve the new buildings.
✔️ Installed a brand-new concrete base, built precisely to the supplied drawings.

This is just the first phase of the project. Once planning approval has been granted, we’ll be returning with our excavator to remove the remaining topsoil and construct two additional concrete bases, helping bring the client’s vision to life.

Another water supply completed in just one day. 💧🚜

Our customer in Birmingham had a leak on her existing lead water main at the rear of the property. We initially attempted our usual moling techniques, but the ground conditions were simply too hard to make it possible.

No problem—we brought in our brand-new 1.6-tonne excavator, carefully manoeuvred it up an 8-foot bank, and excavated a brand-new service trench to install the replacement water supply.

Once the installation was complete, we reinstated the area with quality topsoil, leaving the garden clean, tidy, and ready for the customer to enjoy.

Another challenging job completed safely, efficiently, and all in a single day.

What a difference two days can make! 🌿🔨

This garden had become heavily overgrown, with weeds reaching over 5 feet high and an old fence that had seen better days.

We carried out a full garden clearance, including:
