✨ Aluminium Components with a Bead Blasted Finish ✨

Here we have some small aluminium components that have been bead blasted, removing the old paint, corrosion and contamination and leaving behind a clean, uniform finish.

Bead blasting is a great option for aluminium and stainless steel, providing an attractive natural finish without the need for painting. As aluminium doesn’t rust like mild steel, the freshly blasted finish can often be left exposed depending on the application.

From small components like these to much larger industrial items, all sand, shot and bead blasting enquiries are welcome.

More newly fabricated gates blasted & ready for powder coating 💥

Another batch of newly fabricated steel gates and posts through the blast room, professionally blast cleaned and prepared ready for powder coating.

The posts were blasted too we just didn’t manage to get them back in the photo!

Why blast brand new steel?

Even though steel is newly fabricated, that doesn’t necessarily mean the surface is ready for coating. New steel can still have mill scale, light surface rust, welding contamination and other surface contaminants that can affect how well a coating bonds.

Abrasive blasting helps by:

✅ Removing mill scale and surface contamination
✅ Cleaning around welds and fabrication marks
✅ Creating a consistent surface profile for the coating to grip
✅ Improving powder-coat adhesion
✅ Helping reduce the risk of premature peeling or coating failure
✅ Giving the coating system the best possible foundation for a long lasting finish

And because we’re dealing with new steel rather than stripping old coatings, professional blasting can be much cheaper than you might think.
