How is the Treasurer's House linked with Mont St Michel in Normandy? William the Conquerer gave the land and its tithes to the Abbey after 1066 in thanks for the monks prayers during his invasion of Britain!

Work is underway on the Medieval physic garden at Treasurers House. We are planting some of the curative and culinary herbs which would have been used in a kitchen and house of this age when it was first lived in. Find out more when you visit!

Here is a link to our interview last week on BBC Radio Somerset about living in the wonderful Treasurers House. It was our first radio experience and so mildly nerve wracking!! The Treasurers House was built in the late 1200's. It is the 2nd oldest inhabited house in Somerset. It has a Great Hall, Medieval Kitchen and Solar Room with a rare 13th century wall painting. We look forward to sharing these treasures with you!
