Absolute pleasure to be working in my hometown again recently, the "Mighty Middlewich", with another large scale customised design for a lovely couple who wanted the full works:

☀ 20 x Jinko Solar 510w black panels (on house and flat garage roof), 10.5kW Fox Inverter and 12kW Fox battery storage plus emergency power supply socket circuit, bird barrier, app monitoring, DNO admin (approved export to 8kW) and extended warranties (all as standard).

☀ Also included: MyEnergi "Eddi" - an eco-Smart Energy Diverter that diverts surplus power from solar PV to the immersion heater and MyEnergi Zappi car charger.

So did our customer, they were concerned about the change in battery location regulations and the dead weight above there heads.

Not to worry though,

•We moved the inverter and batteries down in to his garage↕️

•We provided appropriate containment for the batteries to comply with regulations🧐👷‍♂️

•We added a battery.🔋🔋🔋🔋

•We added an emergency power supply socket to the system.🚨🔌

So it’s not just a case of relocating kit but a chance for a system upgrade😎😎

***ASTRALIS SOLAR PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***

Last week, we fixed a scammers work in Middlewich….they had convinced an elderly couple to upgrade their existing solar to a new battery version while they were having their roof replaced. Coincidently the company has now folded! 🙄

These clowns clearly had no clue on how to design a solar system or had any intention of providing a working one:

• They installed way too many panels to work with the solar inverter that they had provided

• They failed to correctly install external switch gear leaving it open for rain water

• They didn’t ensure the correct safety protective switches (bi directional RCD) were in place.

• They didn’t wire in arguably the most important coms/ct wire needed for the inverter to actually operate.

• They didn’t set any of the inverters parameters at all (they just left it on and pretended it was working).

• They told the customer they had stripped out the old solar system from the loft when they hadn’t

These guys charged a criminal amount of money for this and pressed hard on the installation date for payment when they knew very well it wasn’t working🤬🤬🤬

We solved all the above issues for the customer and got them up and running again - with a cost just to cover labour.

I’m really happy we managed to help this elderly couple out on this occasion. It’s really important that you check your solar installation company and ideally keep them local. To respect ours customers anonymity, we have not included names or photos.
