For this project, the design process began with an initial scheme produced in accordance with a clear brief given by our client.

Typically, we produce more than one design, providing concept drawings that develop with functionality and practicality in mind.

Given the proximity of the North East wall, the orangery style extension had little purpose providing the view; despite creating an excellent sunroom. Therefore, the finalised scheme demonstrates a dual pitched roof which accommodate 2 roof lights, an excellent addition when seeking to maximise natural light in a space.

What a lovely outcome for this family home, a modern design with lots of natural light to create a bright and airy open plan space.

𝘼 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝘼𝙩 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚

Today Rachel has started to add the Building Regulation notes and details to a 5 bed replacement dwelling in Cranage.

Here at G&S we take great pride in producing technical drawings to a high standard to help obtain approval from building control. Whilst also providing everything a builder needs in order to complete a build.

When producing technical drawings we are always keeping up to date with the latest regulations such as the recent update on June 15th to Part F (Ventilation) and Part L (Conservation of Fuel and power).

𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 ❕

Today we received approval for a project in Northwich with no conditions by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

For this particular project we initially submitted a Prior Approval – larger home extension application. A decision notice was received 10 weeks later confirming the extension is classed as permitted development.

This project involves the construction of a large single-storey extension, creating an open plan kitchen/dining/living space. The proposed works will form a spacious and functional room, providing a social hub for the family.

A friendly hello from the team at G&S to all of our followers both old and new.

We have decided to shake off the dust and begin building our socials to proudly showcase our work and provide a glimpse into our company culture.
