GLS Coatings Ltd. are looking for the right candidate to join our team as a coatings and preparation technician.
As a member of our team, you will have experience installing industrial coating systems, all aspects of preparation of a substrate, and health and safety measures such as working at hight and confined spaces.
You will be working alongside our experienced team to provide a professional and dependable quality of service to our commercial and residential customers. We’re looking for someone who is committed to completing their work to the highest standard, someone with a positive attitude who is looking for an employer who can provide a stable income with all the benefits that come with that.
The role is physically demanding, you’ll also be experienced in working outdoors in all weathers and at height. Experience of working in Construction, Rail or similar environments would be of benefit. Some unsociable hours are required upon occasions and this will be paid at an enhanced rate.
Duties include:
Installation of several coating systems.
Preparation and site set up.
Working as a member of a team.
Following instructions.
Working at Height and in a confined space. (training provided)
Ensure the health, safety & welfare of themselves and their team in accordance with company policy.
Answering customers questions, both face-to-face and over the phone.
Complete all necessary paperwork & reports in a timely manner.

PTS (rail working)
High Pressure spray coating equipment
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
The construction industry
Working remotely and independently of the office
Experience in the application of coatings but not essential
Working at heights and confined spaces but not essential.
The ideal candidate will have:
Good calculation, and literacy skills.
Strong communication skills.
A flexible attitude & can-do approach.
Confidence, be approachable and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
The ability to work well as part of a team but also be confident working independently.
Good time management, the ability to manage own workload and work to deadlines.
IT/Computing skills/knowledge would be advantageous.
A willingness to travel to complete installations throughout the UK and Europe
Availability to work as and when needed.
You will need to hold a full UK driving licence - a company vehicle will be provided for business use.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Starting from £24,000.00 per annum with the ability to quickly progress through training, with the right candidate being offered a higher salary.
