𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: splash zone ahead. 💦

Underneath all that coolant, we're busy rough machining the mould cavity. This removes the bulk of the material first, before the finer machining work brings the cavities to their required shape and detail.

We're always looking for ways to make our manufacturing processes more sustainable, and choosing the right materials is a big part of that. 🌱

By working closely with our suppliers and customers, we're exploring alternatives such as recycled plastics, bio-based materials and waste-based additives.

Our latest R&D trial with UBQ is a good example. We wanted to find out whether a waste-based additive could work in an injection moulded part without any hit to quality.

Turns out, it can. ⬇️

Aircraft & Defence components need to be made to exact specifications, and that’s an area we’re well equipped to support. ✈️

We manufacture fabricated and formed components for the Aerospace and Defence sectors, supporting customers with the production of structural parts and assemblies.

Our in-house engineering team also develops the tooling these components require. And if you have an existing part that needs to be replicated, we can reverse-engineer it for you.

From the component itself to the tooling behind it, we can support your manufacturing needs from design through to production.

Making a part to the drawing is one thing. Knowing it's actually right is another. 🔎

That's why inspection is part of how we work, not an afterthought.

Once a component is made, we check the key dimensions and tolerances against the spec on our Hexagon AB Global Lite CMM. If something's off, we spot it early, find out why and sort it before it turns into a bigger problem.

It’s a straightforward approach, but an important one that supports the right-first-time mindset that runs through our ISO 9001 quality system.

Got a new component on the drawing board? ✍️

Before you commit to full production tooling, it's worth getting a physical part in your hands to see how the design actually performs in the real world.

We support prototype development with aluminium tooling, helping customers test and refine their designs before they move into production.

And it doesn't matter what industry you're in, automotive, medical, aerospace, electronics and more, our team can support prototype tooling to suit.

Tool trials are well and truly underway this morning! 👍

This is a key step before we start production. It's our chance to try out the tooling, take a close look at the components it's making and tweak anything that isn't quite right.

Spending a bit of time on checks now means we'll be ready to hit the ground running when production kicks off.

Is outsourcing really the most cost-effective option? 🤔

On paper, sending manufacturing abroad can look like a great deal. But the price per part rarely tells the whole story.

Add in longer lead times, shipping costs, the hassle of chasing answers across different time zones, and the difficulty of making changes once production is underway, and those initial savings can quickly disappear.

Working with a local supplier keeps things simple. You can pick up the phone, talk to the people making your parts, and see what's happening from tooling right through to production.

So before you look further afield, ask yourself what you're really getting for the price.

Moulds don't make themselves..

𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙮, 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤.

Our fully equipped tool room is where we design and manufacture injection mould tooling in-house, giving us everything we need to take a mould from a drawing to a production-ready tool.

Prototype or production? Single cavity or multi-cavity? We can build the tooling around what the job requires.
