That time of year where dry wood chip is heading out to customers as quickly as we can get wood back in. Thankfully it’s been a very windy start to 2026 so the wind turbine is keeping all the drying floors well fed with power 💪🏻.

Cold and incredibly wet so the biomass yard is exceptionally busy. Five drying floors powered by 5 separate biomass boilers and the wind turbine for electric keeping the wood chip drying quickly to keep up with demand.

Busy few weeks so time to get the boilers back on as stock is now very low🔥🪵

All our winter stock has been chipped so we are now into summer chip stock. Drying wood chip in summer costs half what it costs in winter to dry. The site is incredibly busy over winter months and sometimes we struggle to dry quickly enough yet it’s very quiet over summer months. Up until the end of September we are offering P31s wood chip dried to 22% at £109 ex yard, ex VAT. No maximum orders and for those with space who want to take winter supply at that price, we can offer extended credit terms which will see a saving for the customer and spread out our winter demand.
