We’re excited to announce that we’ve extended our depot by a further 3 acres, taking our HQ to an impressive 8 acres in total!

The additional space gives us even more room to grow, expand our operations and prepare for what’s next.

And we’re not stopping there…

Proud to support a cause close to our hearts 💙

We’re proud to be sponsoring Ord Industrial as they take on their charity cycle in aid of Mikeysline.

Mikeysline is a charity that means a great deal to all of us at Stoddart Crane Hire. In 2023, we sadly lost our friend and colleague Iain Bruce, and supporting a cause that helps people through their darkest times is something very close to our hearts.

This is by far the hardest day of the challenge, with over 5000ft of climbing in total. It's going to be brutal 👀

Getting our cranes where they need to be can take us to some of the furthest corners of Scotland — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

You don’t see it as often these days, but for us it’s always been important to stay hands-on. From running the business to operating the cranes, the main man is still out there doing what he’s always done.

DOUBLE RAINBOW, DOUBLE FODEN!

No Sunday rest for the Stoddart team!

Both of our Foden recovery trucks are out together tonight, en route to a job — with a quick pit stop at Ullapool giving us a cracking view under a double rainbow.

Teamwork at its finest. Two Fodens, one team, getting the job done whatever the day.

The next generation coming through…

Young Robbie Stoddart, with the help from his friend Archie Ferguson, certainly put the work in at TruckNess, spending hours cleaning and polishing the Scania – and wow, did it show!

Being a family business, there’s something pretty special about seeing the next generation taking an interest and showing the same pride in the machinery that’s been passed down through the family.

Give it a few years and Robbie will be pulling levers on the cranes and driving the lorries, showing his Dad and Grandad how it’s done! 🏗️🚛😄

For now though, we’ll happily keep Robbie and Archie on cleaning duties – they’ve set the standard pretty high!

Well done Robbie & Archie – cracking job, boys! 👏

More silverware for the office display 🤩

We’re delighted to come away from TruckNess with:

🥇 1st Place – Best Fleet
🥈 2nd Place – Best Crane

With the biggest turnout of lorries at TruckNess so far, there was plenty of tough competition, which makes these results even better!

A huge shoutout has to go to all of our drivers for the pride and effort they put into keeping our machinery immaculate all year round – and especially for the extra work that went in this week to get everything looking its best.

1st for Best Fleet is definitely a team effort! 👏

A fantastic result and a great day all round. Thanks to everyone who came along to see us!
