Replacing a rotting timber conservatory with new support posts and high efficiency UPVC double glazed units.

The roof was propped up to allow the tired old glazing and frames to be removed.
New double timber supports installed strengthening the existing flat roof, followed by a one-piece window sill and the new glazing units.

Finishing touch of the inside window sil still to do, but a total transformation and now maintenance free.

A cost effective solution without having to replace the entire conservatory and roof.

Ashley Building Company were asked to assist with the joinery on the rebuilding of this traditional barn roof by DS Masonry Ltd. after it was destroyed in last autumns' storms.

Replacing flat felt roof with Permaroof profiled sheeting pitched roof.
Once the felt was stripped from these garages, it was easy to see the damage caused by water ingress.
All the rotten boarding had been overlayed a few times, but once it was stripped back to the roof joists we were able to replace the damaged boards before building the bespoke trusses on site. OSB sheeting and a breather membrane fitted before treated battens for fixing the permaroof to.
The gables were clad in white UPVC linings with all the fascias also capped in UPVC before finishing off with new guttering.
The Nova Mica Permaroof in slate blue has a lovely finish and comes with a 20 year guarantee.

Replacement decking.
This customers' existing decking was originally done with a composite deck board.
A straightforward job, but unfortunately, the origianl base for the deck was simply sat on some broken slabs and a few bits of timber. The composite decking was also incorrectly fitted, resulting in rotten supports and a collapsed deck.

New footings were dug down to the hard, concrete pads set with treated timber post supports. C24 joists with the correct joist hangers fitted. And finally the new treated timber decking boards to finish it off.

New Rosewood over white UPVC windows & doors throughout.
Central heating upgraded.
Electrical wiring upgraded.
All rooms taped & decorated.
Laminate flooring to several rooms.
New pre-finished Belize Oak doors.
All facings, skirtings & finishings renewed throughout.
