Our Environment, Our Responsibility♻️
At CONICA Ltd, environmental responsibility, sustainability, and the protection of our local communities are at the heart of everything we do.
Each year, we recycle approximately 20,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyre material, transforming what would otherwise be waste into valuable raw materials for use in sports, leisure, and construction applications. By recovering and reusing these materials, we help reduce landfill, support the circular economy, and contribute to the more sustainable use of resources.
Our commitment to the environment is supported by rigorous regulatory compliance and independent verification. We hold a valid Waste Carrier's Licence and Waste Operations Environmental Permit, and our activities are regularly overseen by the Environment Agency. We are proud to be classified as a Band A operator, the Agency's highest performance category, with zero recorded non-compliances.
In addition, we maintain certification to PAS 107:2012 through the Tyre Recovery Association (TRA), with independent audits conducted by ABRICON. This recognised quality framework ensures that recovered materials are processed, managed, and quality-controlled to the highest standards, helping to deliver safe, consistent, and sustainable products.
Sustainability is not simply a regulatory requirement for us, it is a core value. We continually invest in our people, processes, and technologies to minimise environmental impact, maximise resource efficiency, and ensure that our operations contribute positively to both the environment and the wider community.
We are proud of the role we play in giving valuable materials a second life and helping to create a more sustainable future for generations to come.
