BAM - HGHQ, Strawberry Lane BAM is building the new headquarters for Home Group one of the UK’s largest housing associations.

Located in the St James’ area of Newcastle City Centre, the new building will provide 700,000sq ft of accommodation over six floors

Its been a very busy few weeks on site as you may have seen. Steelwork is progressing well with phase 01 now completed. Next you will see the floors progressing with mast climbers arriving soon after near the pub.

We are continuing to do our best to help the local community. BAM Construct UK working with Ask are currently renovating an old garden into a new play area in the east end of Newcastle for a local charity whilst also collecting lots and lots for the local foodbanks. Many more small projects will also be completed as part of us giving something back to the communities within the next few months.

Its been a busy few weeks on site for BAM and our supply chain. If you've popped up to The Strawberry for a drink you may have seen us hard at work on your exit!

We also made the most of the nice weather to get our drone up and see the great progress. Have a look at the below, you get a real scale of how complex and tight a city centre job is.

Morning all, this page is intended to update everyone on the progress of the new head office building for Home Group in Newcastle City Centre. Progress started well removing the old car park getting the site ready for piling. The first phase of piling is complete and we will now be starting the construction of the upper level foundations with our local supply chain partner Wyn Construction Limited.

BAM is a Considerate Constructors Scheme Partner, and we register all our construction sites with the Scheme.

We are committed to being a good neighbour and to being clean, respectful, safe, environmentally conscious, responsible and accountable. Our site is independently inspected to make sure we live up to these aims.

We have control measures in place to eliminate or minimise potential nuisance. However, please raise your concerns with our project team if you spot something we could do better.
