Some companies let you opt out of allowing your content to be used for generative AI. Here’s how to take back (at least a little) control from ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and more.

At CERN, we probe the fundamental structure of particles that make up everything around us. We do so using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments.

Albert Einstein on his school and Education system💡

It bored me. The teachers behaved like sergeants. I wanted to learn what I wanted to know, but they wanted me to learn for the exam. What I hated most was the competitive system there, and especially sports. Because of this, I wasn't worth anything, and several times they suggested I leave. This was a Catholic School in Munich. I felt that my thirst for knowledge was being strangled by my teachers; grades were their only measurement.

How can a teacher understand youth with such a system?

A pioneering research indeed

A pair of implants forming a digital bridge between the brain and the spinal cord has enabled a 'test pilot' patient to better stand and walk again, showing promise for an innovation that could one day transform the lives of individuals with paralysis.

"One, remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Two, never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose and life is empty without it. Three, if you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is there and don't throw it away."

Schrödinger's Cat is a thought experiment: 🐈

Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment, often described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935.

It illustrates the concept of superposition in quantum theory and the problem of the Copenhagen interpretation when applied to everyday objects. In the experiment, a cat is placed in a sealed box with a radioactive source, a Geiger counter, and a vial of poison. If the Geiger counter detects radiation, the vial is broken, releasing the poison and killing the cat. Quantum theory suggests that the cat is both dead and alive until the box is opened to observe the cat. Only upon observation does the cat become either alive or dead, not both.

This thought experiment is used to explore the bizarre ways in which small particles like atoms and photons behave, as described by quantum mechanics.
