We aim to tackle societal inequalities by providing nutritional guidance in the form of multi sensory interactive aids. We have created a company and a unique product that incorporates auditory, visual, tactile and olfactory stimulation. Utilising multiple forms of stimulation to work with a range of different senses makes the product much more accessible to a broad span of society to address soci
ety’s nutritional needs. The purpose of this product is to empower individuals to actively engage and have choice in their daily dietary needs. In hospital wards and in private care homes, individuals who are unable to verbally communicate their needs rely heavily on staff interpretation and care planning. We have developed a scalable method to help the physical and mental wellbeing of people with particular needs. Sensmart aims to reduce malnutrition, dehydration, food waste and prolonged hospital stays amongst individuals limited by impairments or disabilities in the private and public healthcare sectors. These challenges pose significant risks to both individuals and the wider society. We offer a fresh approach to healthier living through an innovative system to empower individuals limited by impairments and their families to actively engage in their daily dietary needs. We offer education surrounding emotional eating and a platform for professional development for those with caring responsibilities or to individuals diagnosed with an element of impairment.
