Nice message received today.

I had a problem today with my boiler and I was having difficulty in finding someone to fix it. I called you and although you could not send anyone out you were most helpful in that your man talked me through a means of fixing it and it worked. Thank you very much for getting me out of a difficult situation. I was in a bit of a panic, we had our son here with his young family a 1 year old and 3 yr old and it was our 50th anniversary celebration this week so you can see the urgency but you helped.

Smart thermostats have become common place in residential homes, due to the control and convenience that they offer via the use of a smart phone. They reduce energy costs and give the user complete control regarding when they want heating, and when they don't from any location.

However they aren't so common in holiday homes, and im not sure why as they are just as well suited if not more so than a residential home, they mean you can turn the heating on before guests arrive (if you rent your home) and turn it off after they leave without having to even be in the same postcode. Due to the general intermittent use they are ideal for all situations

Most aren't compatible as they need a hub to be connected to a router.

The Salus IT800 however works perfectly, the stat is fully rechargeable and comes with a dedicated app for Android and IOS, to give you the option of remote access or directly from the stat itself.
