While deep cleaning the carpets for a fifth time at Newcastle Theatre Royal, we were also glad to carry out specialist dry cleaning of the house curtains – decades-old velvet drapes that can't simply be washed or steamed like a standard soft furnishing.

We used vacuum techniques to lift embedded dust and soiling from the pile without risking shrinkage, colour loss, or damage to the fringing and trim. Velvet holds onto dust more than most fabrics, so getting this right takes a different skill set entirely to carpet cleaning.

Having worked with the Theatre for 5 years now, it's this kind of specialist knowledge – knowing when a surface needs a completely different approach – that means we can be trusted with every part of a building, not just what's underfoot. 🙌

Excited to have been back at Newcastle Theatre Royal for another deep clean! 🎭

Carpets in a venue like this take some serious punishment, so we used Woolsafe approved products to make sure the fibres are cleaned safely and thoroughly, without compromising on colour or texture. Our hot water extraction then gets right down into the pile, lifting out ground-in dirt and restoring that rich red colour you can see coming through.

It's a real privilege to have worked with the Theatre over the last 5 years, with them trusting us to maintain their carpets thanks to our expertise and attention to detail. This project alone took us 5 days to complete – we take the time to check every corner and make sure nothing gets missed.

There aren't many jobs where you're cleaning carpets under posters for the West End's biggest shows. 🤩

Our toughest stain removal to date – saving our customer £2,700 on a replacement carpet!

This stubborn urine stain on a wool carpet took Harry over 3 hours of specialist stain removal techniques to restore.

While the lounge carpet would have benefited from a full deep clean, the customer only wanted the stain treated—and they were absolutely over the moon with the result.

It’s jobs like these that show the value of specialist knowledge. Replacing the carpet would have cost around £3000, but with patience, experience, and the right techniques, we were able to save it.

When people think of dirt, they usually think of mud. In reality, most of the dirt we remove from carpets and floors is made up of things you can't even see.

We had a class day at the Gosforth & Coxlodge Bowling Club on Thursday as they hosted their annual Sponsors’ Day. 🍻

This is our first year sponsoring the club. After cleaning Daniel’s carpets at home, he kindly offered us the opportunity to get involved, and we felt it was a great fit for both parties and a brilliant way to support a local community club.

A big thank you to Kevin from A1 Blinds for joining our team and helping us out on the day, and of course to our captain Brian for leading us through the competition!

We didn’t quite bring home the trophy this time, but we had a great laugh, met some fantastic people, and thoroughly enjoyed supporting a club that’s doing great things for the local community.

Thanks to everyone at the club for having us – we’re already looking forward to next year!
