Agricultural Roof Lights, Ridge Replacement and Repairs – Newent, Gloucestershire

This steel-framed farm building in Newent, Gloucestershire has been upgraded with brand-new roof lights, ridge replacement, and targeted roof sheet repairs.

The old roof was leaking, dark, and no longer fit for purpose. By cutting in and installing new translucent roof lights, we brought a tremendous amount of natural daylight into the building. At the same time, the ridges were replaced and problem areas in the existing sheeting were repaired to secure the structure against the weather.

The result? A brighter, weather-tight general-purpose storage building that will serve farm use for years to come.

Work completed included:
* Cutting in and installing new roof lights
* Replacing damaged roof ridges on the building
* Repairing roof sheets to stop leaks
* Extending the lifespan of an agricultural steel structure

✅ Installation of a composite profiled roof at 130mm thick of insulation.

As part of a wider project, PVC soffits, gutters and downpipes were also fitted, completing the external finish.

Modern Barn and Garage Conversions Gloucestershire -

These buildings are for storage : there are three different purposes seen here:
1. Outbuildings - which will be turned into log stores and general storage for garden equipment.
2. A garage- which used to be a hay barn, and is attached to a Dutch Barn.

It was completely stripped off. All the tiles, old tin and then scribed into the other existing structure. There are three different areas where guttering and flashings were put in to direct water into the correct places. The roof is corrugated sheeting, slate blue, with various flashings.
