Saturday 8th Feb - Oakfield Midsolent u14s

Played their first Home game of the season Vs Gosport yellow.
Having previously played them twice and losing 6-0 in a league game and 2-1 in a Hampshire cup a full optimistic squad arrived at Wootton Rec (a temporary home ground due to a water logged pitch).

Ready for a battle Stan P put the boys 1-0 up for the early lead!
Giving the lads a much needed lift.
Reggie W for the home team was taken down in the penalty area with an unfortunate missed time tackle leaving Reggie with a bad ankle.
Penalty taken by Reg smashing the back of the net releasing the pain from his ankle.
Oakfield were caught out on a quick break away from Gosport making the score 2-1 by the end of the first half.
Some huge saves made by Logan P - the Oakfield team battled on!
Theo M sealed the deal with a goal 10 minutes in to the second half.

Oakfield Midsolent U14s

Today the lads travelled to Portchester to take on the Saxons.

Oakfield took and early lead with a cracking shot from Ashton.
Shortly after Ashton bagged another one!

The Saxons scored before the end of the first half adding the pressure to the Oakfield side!
Shortly after the second half the Saxons broke through the Oakfield defence and scored levelling the score!

With a tense 10 minutes Ashton completed the hat trick followed by Cory to make the Oakers team bring home the win!!

Oakfield Midsolent u14 traveled to Southampton and took on the AFC Stoneham Spitfires current top of the league!
Finally a decent bit of weather for the boys to play in! 🌞🤘

2 early goals from Zack Bailey put the Oakers boys in the lead. The home team then scored a penalty making it 2-1

The home team then levelled it up and made it 2-2.
Another screamer from Zack Bailey making it 3-2!!!
Spitfires then scored making it 3-3.

Another penalty taken by spitfires saved by Logan Peach!
Spirtfires take the lead making 4-3 to them!!
Oakers boys pull it back with an equaliser making it 4-4 scored by Riley Rich

Full time result 4-4

Our Mid-Solent team travelled across today to play in the Hampshire Cup. Unfortunately a loss today but the boys played well and received lots of praise from their coach.
