The sun may be shining today but don’t forget to wrap your AGA up nice and warm! ☀️
This mornings job was to top up the insulation in this 12 year old AGA. As you can see over the years the vermiculite insulation settles down and leaves a large air gap which reduces the appliance’s efficiency and increases running costs. 💰
The insulation was topped up to the correct level and the cooker reassembled ready for many more years of service. ✅
If you have an AGA that is very hot to touch on top it could be that you need a top up of insulation, so get in touch and we can take care of everything. 🤩

Ending the week on another boiler change. This one was a bit of a challenge to fit everything in but got there in the end. Two old Worcester system boilers removed as they had started to go wrong. Replaced with a new Vaillant Ecotec plus 48Kw boiler. Fitted a spirocross low loss header to hydraulically separate the boiler from the system and now with a grundfoss Magna 1 pump the system will have no circulation issues. Also fitted a flamco expansion vessel bracket and isolation valve assembly which will make re-pressurising the vessel easy in future.

Another boiler swap carried out last week. Had to deal with a very poor installation, pipe work not sleeved through walls, no clips on pipes and plastic everywhere. Everything was tidied up as much as possible and the customer now has a properly controlled system with a boiler that isn’t leaking.

Another system conversion carried out this week going from a conventional boiler and cylinder to combination boiler, freeing up space in the airing cupboard and providing a greatly improved flow rate of hot water. The only down side being the temperature in the loft during the work 🥵.
