Milled windows. Highly deviated sidetracks. Zero room for error.

In offshore Sabah, Malaysia, Centek's 0312-0812S centralizers, 031200SO stop collars, and in-house simulation helped optimize a centralizer program for two challenging sidetrack wells — managing drag and running forces while hitting the standoff needed for reliable cement placement.

Result: clean cement job, no tubing fill, strong zonal isolation.

❓Does Centek adhere to API 10D protocols for its product testing?
✔️ The answer is yes!

Centek tests all covered by API Specification 10D in accordance with the latest applicable requirements, helping ensure product performance is assessed using recognized, consistent and comparable procedures.

Centek also applies API Recommended Practice 10D-2 when testing stop collars, providing a standardized method for assessing holding performance and reporting the results.

For operators, this supports centralizer selection and well planning. https://zurl.co/TwRMf

⛔ In Brazil’s demanding offshore and pre-salt wells, flush joint casing can help manage clearance in complex casing and liner programs 🇧🇷

In our latest article, we look at why high-holding-force stop collars are essential for use with flush joint casing connections, and why they should be considered a critical part of the centralization program.

We also explore how Centek’s UHD Stop Collar, rated to 90,000 lbf holding force and requiring no specialized installation, supports demanding applications where reliable centralizer placement is critical. https://zurl.co/Gyvr5

In this offshore Malaysian case study, the operator faced a challenging carbonate formation with lost circulation risk, high inclination, high drag, and difficult cement placement conditions.

Centek’s S2 single-piece bow spring was selected to help improve casing standoff and support better cement placement in a demanding wellbore.

🌟 The result: a competent cement bond and the operator’s decision to standardize to the Centek S2 for similar carbonate and loss-circulation zones.

For operators working in comparable complex formations, effective centralization is an important part of building wells with the standoff, cement placement, and zonal isolation needed to support long-term integrity.

When operators use anti-corrosive coated casing, selection becomes even more critical.

In the Permian Basin, USA, a major E&P operator needed a centralizer solution that could be safely installed over coated casing without compromising the protective layer.

Centek engineered a bespoke centralizer, designed and manufactured in Oklahoma City, to meet the operator’s dimensional and performance requirements.

The result: no damage to the anti-corrosive coating during installation or casing running, reliable centralization to support effective cement placement, and a scalable solution for a 20-well campaign.

🇧🇷 We're working with operators in Brazil to support clearer, performance-led specifications for centralization and stop collar technology that fully meets API requirements.

Restoring force, running forces, holding force, material quality, manufacturing standards, and proven reliability all make a difference to casing standoff, cement placement, zonal isolation, and long-term well integrity.

By working closely with operators and technical teams, Centek can help support better specification, stronger tender requirements, and more reliable product selection from the outset.
