As far as tooling projects go, this has to be one of the best. From start to finish we have helped the client achieve exactly what they wanted - a reduction in plastic material used, a quicker cycle time and now no need for welding or gluing. The investment in the tooling will be covered well within the first 18 months of production, so lets get moulding!!!

So we didn't win... but we were still finalists which we are extremely proud of... and what an amazing experience to be a part of the South West Global Growth Awards - some of the success stories are truly inspirational and some of the conversations we had with other business leaders have really given us some fantastic ideas of how we can grow our business both nationally and internationally. The main take away from this event was to really partner with the right customers and focus on what can be a mutually beneficial relationship. See you all next year!

Aston Martin Lagonda’s second UK manufacturing plant in Wales has started to build pre-production models of the carmaker’s first SUV, the DBX.
Forming part of Aston Martin’s continued investment in the UK, the opening of St Athan has so far created 200 jobs and is expected to create up to 550 more. Also, as a direct result of this investment a further 3,000 jobs will likely be created across the supply chain and local businesses.

This time next week, we will be on our way to Bath for the South West Global Growth Awards - we are finalists for the 'Emerging Exporter Award' and 'Excellence in Innovation in International Trade'! I cannot tell you how proud we are of the team here at Amtek Plastics UK Ltd - without the people, we would not be in the finals that is for sure - fingers crossed for next week!
