For years, he was the office’s classic downbeat Arsenal fan — the conservatory tech designer James quietly sat behind his screen, muttering about missed chances, questionable referees, and another season of disappointment while drawing up roof plans and window layouts. The football chat around the office usually ended with a shrug and a weary smile. But now, everything about him has changed. Arsenal’s rise has filled him with a pride nobody in the office has seen before. He walks into work with confidence, talking fixtures before floorplans, smiling through meetings, and humming Arsenal songs while designing conservatories. The once gloomy football pessimist is now the loudest voice in the office, proudly wearing the badge, defending his club at every opportunity, and enjoying every second of finally feeling proud to be an Arsenal fan again.

About the Company
We manufacture conservatory roofs and supply trade customers with design and technical support. This can be an entry-level or experienced role ideal for someone who wants to learn conservatory roof product design, customer-facing technical support, and trade-focused sales processes while working within a friendly, hands-on team.
Role Summary
You will support the design and technical team by preparing drawings, answering trade customer queries, and helping to deliver accurate, timely technical information. No prior industry experience is required; we will provide training on our products, software, and processes. A practical, can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Design support: Assist with basic CAD or drawing preparation and updating design files.
• Technical assistance: Respond to trade customer enquiries by phone and email, escalating complex issues to senior staff.
• Order and documentation: Prepare and check technical documentation, quotations, and order specifications.
• Data entry and reporting: Maintain accurate records in company systems and produce simple reports.
Person Specification
• Good maths skills; comfortable with measurements and basic calculations.
• IT literate; confident using Windows, email, and willing to learn CAD or design software.
• Outgoing personality; able to communicate clearly with trade customers and colleagues.
• Organised and detail oriented; able to manage multiple small tasks and follow procedures.
Training and Progression
• On-the-job training in product knowledge and design software.
• Mentoring from senior technical staff.
• Progression routes into design technician, technical sales, or customer support roles.
