I would like to thanks everyone who came to the funeral and those who commented and sent their messages. It was a nice warm day for it and a good celebration of his life. Made a big difference for the family and our Mother especially. Dwelled on their life and helped by all the stories. Great to see you guys with a lot of good memories. See you at the reunion. Thanks again. Very much appreciated.

EVERYONE, sad news from Mike Duff about his dad Sammy. Mike isn’t on this group but his sons are, if you would like to pay your respects, please respond to Mike’s sons Andrew and Mathew on here.
From Mike……
My Dad -Sammy Duff passed away last Friday in Hindley Hospice. A fantastic and caring place. He reached 95 and was still pretty fit up until 3 months ago. Still bossy until the end. Never gave up.
We are having a goodbye for him at Greenacres in St Helen’s and then onto Park Hotel in Ashton. Celebrate his life. Some good stories.
I realise a lot of his generation have passed away or not as mobile. If anyone would like to come, we would appreciate it. Good to see some old Parkside faces.
My Sons Andrew & Mathew are part of the Parkside group so can log anyone who wishes to come. Only need approximate numbers for food. Can always muster extra.
