‼️ Worcester Repair‼️

A recent breakdown callout led to the discovery of a leak on a Worcester gas boiler. After investigation, the source of the leak was traced to a faulty flow turbine adapter.

While carrying out the repair, the cold mains inlet valve needed to be isolated. Unfortunately, due to its age and condition, the valve snapped when being operated, resulting in mains water escaping from beneath the valve.❌

To resolve the issue, a new DCW (Domestic Cold Water) isolation valve was installed along with a replacement flow turbine adapter. Once all repairs were completed, the system was refilled, tested and checked for leaks to ensure everything was operating safely and correctly.✅

The customer now has their heating and hot water fully restored, with the boiler running as it should once again. 🔥

🔥 Recent Boiler Breakdown Repair 🔥

We recently attended a boiler breakdown where the customer’s heating wasn’t coming on despite the wireless room thermostat calling for heat.

After carrying out fault-finding checks, we traced the issue to a faulty Siemens wireless receiver. The receiver had failed and was no longer sending the signal back to the boiler, preventing the heating system from operating correctly.

To restore the system, we replaced the faulty controls with a brand-new EPH CP4 wireless programmable thermostat and receiver. Once installed & tested; communication was restored and the boiler was back up and running as it should be.

Heating controls are a vital part of any central heating system, and when they fail, they can leave you without heating even when the boiler itself is perfectly serviceable.

Today we upgraded a customer’s heating system by replacing an undersized single panel radiator with a new double panel radiator to provide improved heat output and better comfort throughout the room.

As part of the work, we also added a high-quality system inhibitor to the heating system. Inhibitor plays an important role in protecting the system from internal corrosion, sludge build-up, and limescale, helping to improve efficiency and extend the lifespan of key components such as the boiler, radiators, and pipework.

‼️Routine Boiler Service Uncovers Missing Flue Test Point‼️

During a recent routine boiler service, we discovered that the flue test point cap was missing. Although it may seem like a small component, the flue test point plays an important role in ensuring safe combustion analysis and helping to confirm that harmful flue gases are being safely discharged from the property.❌

Before carrying out the full service, the missing test point was replaced to ensure the boiler could be tested correctly and safely. Once replaced, we completed all necessary safety checks and carried out the boiler service as normal.🔥🛠️

🔧 Recent Heating System Repairs & Upgrades 🔧

A recent customer contacted us regarding a number of issues with their heating system, including pressure loss and leaking components.

After a full inspection, we carried out the following work:

✅ Replaced the external expansion vessel
✅ Installed 3 new EPH zone valves
✅ Replaced a leaking filling loop
✅ Replaced a faulty pressure relief valve (PRV) that was leaking
