It is not permitted to accompany your surveyor while they inspect the property.
This is standard practice due to insurance restrictions, liability concerns, and to ensure the surveyor is not distracted during a thorough inspection.
Instead, with ๐ฐ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด there are several effective ways to get the answers you need from the inspection:
Before the survey takes place, you will be able to email or call your surveyor to highlight any specific worries you have (e.g., damp spots, cracks, or planned extensions) so they can pay special attention to those areas.
You will receive a comprehensive written report (such as an RICS Level 2 Home Survey or Level 3 Building Survey) detailing all defects and necessary repairs with comprehensive annotated photos.
We can arrange for our surveyors to speak to you after you have read the report, to answer any questions or to go through any of the findings and repair guidance.
