Progress update from our Yafforth project!

We have now officially completed the groundwork phase and have started installing the first of four beautiful limestone cobble pathways leading to the central patio area.

These stunning limestone cobbles have been supplied by Quorn Stone, and the quality and finish are absolutely outstanding. We can’t wait to see the whole design come together over the coming weeks.

🚧 Project Update from DB Landscaping & Groundworks 🚧

This week has been another productive one on site. We’ve excavated the raft foundation and poured the first sections of concrete. Everything has now been shuttered to achieve a clean finish and protect the edges from any movement or crumbling over the weekend. Steel reinforcement mesh has also been installed in accordance with the structural engineer’s specifications.

We’ve also scraped back the remaining areas and installed the majority of the sub-base, keeping the project moving smoothly.

The walling for the sunken patio is now also complete and looking stunning!

Next week, we’ll be pumping the final section of the raft foundation before moving on to the installation of the paved pathways, bringing the project one step closer to completion.

We have also finally been able to collect our brand new JCB 26c-1 digger which has certainly had an impact this week!

🚧 Our Yafforth project is making fantastic progress this week! 🚧

The sunken central patio walls are now complete and they’re looking absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to see this area transformed once the paving goes down. A huge thank you to the team at J.N.H Builders for their outstanding brickwork! Utter professionals and a pleasure to have on site 🙏🏻

Our new JCB 26C-1 has already proven its worth, making light work of excavating the raft foundation for the new orangery.

With plenty more happening, we’re expecting some major transformations over the next couple of weeks!

Certainly a busy week for us!

After two weeks away working on a school contract and more digger courses we are back on our Yafforth site and making great progress.

We’ve now received the plans for the orangery raft foundation and have completed the excavation and concrete works for the first two of five sections alongside the property walls. By working in sections, we can safely avoid undermining the existing structure.

On Wednesday, our bricklayers also got started on the feature walls surrounding the sunken patio. The lads at J.N.H Builders are doing an outstanding job, and we can’t wait to see the finished result over the next few days.

We’ve also taken delivery of our new JCB 1T-2 High Tip Dumper. Investing in the best equipment allows us to continue improving efficiency and expanding our capabilities.

And finally, with the continued growth of both our business and our fleet, we’ve moved into a much larger yard. This is a huge step forward for us and something that will benefit the business for many years to come.

🚧 Another Great Addition to the Fleet! 🚧

We’re delighted to take delivery of our brand new JCB 1T-2 High Tip Dumper which is also road legal. It’s a fantastic machine that will further enhance our capabilities and efficiency on site.

A huge thank you to TC Harrison JCB and especially Terry Whitby for the excellent service and support throughout the process. As always, they’ve been a pleasure to deal with and have helped us secure another top-quality addition to the business.

This latest investment is all part of our commitment to continually improving the service we provide to our clients. The new high-tip dumper gives us even greater flexibility and productivity on projects, helping us work smarter and more efficiently than ever.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there! This is the first of two new machines arriving this month, and we can’t wait to take delivery of our brand-new JCB 26C-1 digger in the coming weeks.

A couple of months ago, we were approached by Bedale High School with a challenge: transform a large garden area into a welcoming outdoor space where students could relax and enjoy their break times.

To make things even more interesting, the entire project had to be completed during the May half-term holidays!

Never one to shy away from a challenge, our team got started on Bank Holiday Monday, working in temperatures exceeding 30°C. Throughout the week, the team put in 12–13 hour days to ensure everything was completed on schedule and ready for the students’ return.

We’re incredibly proud of what was achieved in such a short timeframe, and the team absolutely smashed it.

A huge thank you to Bedale High School for trusting us with this project. It has been a privilege to create a space that students can enjoy for years to come. 🙏🏻
