How my life changes!

Saturday evening spent sitting in the office sorting out the plans for the next few weeks, while the teams are also fighting against the weather.

What a week this week has been.

It's been spent driving around Midlands and late night evening in the office measuring and viewing as well as pricing up estates and parish/town council tenders.

Today we have had a team over in the West Midlands, working on a housing estate Grounds maintenance contract that we took over at the tail end of last year!

The team have been cutting back an area that was meant to be a Wildflower meadow, however its covered in Brambles and has been the victim of some fly tipping over the last few years.

As with all our Estate management contracts, this is time of year we can get on with these jobs and get everything in place for when the grass cutting and general maintenance season starts.

We have housing estate grounds maintenance contracts throughout the Midlands and our footprint is growing constantly as we are being asked to cover more and more estates by current clients

Today one of the teams have been cutting back a bund on one of our estate management contracts. The photos don't do this justice as this spreads for almost a 1/2 mile around the estate.

This time of year is the ideal time to get all our estates to our usual high standard after winter and prior to the grass cutting season really getting going.

Please get in touch for any estate management requirements. This is fast becoming our speciality, with sites spreading from the South West, London, throughout the Midlands, West Midlands and M1 corridor.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and made time to enjoy the festive period?

This is the first time in five years that I switched everything off and stayed away from our head office for a few days. It’s not always easy to do, but we all need a little time to recharge and remember there is a life outside of work and business. It was great spending time with my partner her children, family and friends, and almost forgetting about work for them few days.

That being said, I am back at it today and sorting out the plan for the week.

I look forward and hope to see many of you throughout 2026.

If anyone is coming past Northamptonshire during the week and fancies a coffee, feel free to drop into our office. We are just off the A14/A45/A6, so just let me know. The kettle will be on. It hasn't got to be a business chat, I know how lonely and frustrating life on the road can get. Just drop me a message and a coffee will be waiting for you.

As 2025 comes to an end and we start to slow down a little for the Christmas break, we look back at the year.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who has assisted us throughout the year, from the amazing teams of staff and managementn all our clients and every single person who has been there for us and supported our growth in 2025, I cant thank you all enough.

We have had challenges and some huge ups and a few downs. However its been a great year and in a great place to smash 2026!

We have seen all our existing contracts renewed with several of our estate management contracts extended for up to 5 years. MCGFM have also got new estates coming on board for 2026.

Our FM devision has certainly been challenging, we have learnt so much throughout the year, and certainly had some incredible achievements and results. We have a couple of the teams starting a new contract with one of our existing clients from the 5th Jan, and watch this space for early 2025 for further growth with the devision.

I cant wait for 2026 to start and see what it has in store for us.

We are actively looking for new clients for 2026.

Another service we offer, and you may not be aware of! Is Silo cleaning, roof repairs and painting. Working with our client saak engineering we can offer a full silo service from repairs to design and build as well as adaptions.

Within this contract our Specialist cleaning team completed the following

Our staff have the following:

Working at height

Pasma training
Fork lift/tele handler
Cherry picker/access boom

First aid

We dont subcontract to other companies.

We are also looking for more staff members for this area of the buisness from early 2026. Must have a head for heights, an eye for detail, able to use hand tools, willing to work, will involve staying away during the week at times. A driving licence is required. Any of the above training would be hightly beneficial.
