I've loved doing this oak staircase upgrade project, just completed on my part before the weekend.

A surprising proportion of inside stopcocks are found to be seized when needed, so it's well worth knowing where your outside one is!

First week back at work, and have done a selection of small maintenance jobs, with a replacement double glazed unit ordered for fitting (hopefully sometime next week.)

Here's another job done this week!..I know, I know, two posts in one week, how are we gonna cope...?! 😆😁

Replaced this badly fitted badly damaged 3 year old new-build composite door & frame.
Broken hinges, broken glazing (...and not even toughened!) poor frame dimensions, poor brickwork, no trims, massive massive siliconing!! Yuk!

Wrapped up this lovely little project earlier this week. Lovely customers too, and very generous provision of biscuits ...

Well it's been an age since I've last posted.

From mid Feb, I had almost 3 months off due to a fractured wrist, and inevitably a slow start back from there!

Thankfully, the vast majority of my customers were happy and able to wait for me to recover, which did leave me with a very long lead time., but I've been making huge strides since getting that back to some semblance of normality (and now I probably need to marginally adjust that back the other way!

Here's a selection of pictures of work which I've been doing during that time, (...though probably not in sequential order - that's something I've yet to master. 🫣😆). And by no means everything - some customers don't want pictures shared, and sometimes I just don't remember to get all the photos! 😆
