Another stunning driveway transformation completed over in Towcester.

This project involved a complete excavation and rebuild, transforming the area into a modern, premium driveway with bespoke features and serious attention to detail.

Here’s what went into this transformation 👇

30 TONNES EXCAVATED – Full excavation and removal of existing ground material.

150MM TYPE 1 MOT SUB-BASE – Thoroughly compacted to create a strong, stable foundation.

75MM CONCRETE BLINDING – Providing a solid base for the new driveway.

NEW ACO DRAINAGE – Installed to effectively manage surface water.

50M² SLATE BLOCK PAVING – Beautiful slate-coloured blocks finished with a contrasting jet black block-paved border for a sharp, contemporary look.

BESPOKE SLEEPER RETAINING WALLS – Constructed to frame the driveway and complement the new paving.

INTEGRATED LED LIGHTING – Built directly into the sleeper walls to create a fantastic feature after dark.

🔥THE DETAIL THAT SETS THIS PROJECT APART

Every timber sleeper was individually charred by hand using a blowtorch to enhance the natural wood grain and achieve a unique, dark finish. The sleepers were then oiled to bring out the rich tones and complete the look.

This isn’t just a new driveway. It’s a complete transformation designed to add kerb appeal, character and a premium finish to the property.

At DIGroundworks, we take just as much pride in the groundwork you can’t see as the finishing touches you can.

Watch us transform this garden space over in Bugbrooke, Northampton 👌🏻

25/09/2026

Another one completed over in Bugbrooke, Northampton.

A complete garden transformation featuring 45m² of Quartz White porcelain paving, finished with a new bullnose step and a granite block edge border chosen by the customer.

We also supplied and installed an aluminium grey pergola with privacy screen, added decorative gravel to finish the areas neatly, and laid a further 25m² of 600x600 slabs to create a solid base for the customer’s new shed and bin storage area.

Really pleased with how this one has come together — clean, modern and low maintenance throughout.

Very very happy customers 😁

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and forget to look back at how far you’ve come.

DIGroundworks was just an idea for years and a decision to take a chance, leave the security of full-time employment and build something of my own.

Fast forward to now and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far.

I’ve built the DIGroundworks name from the ground up, completed some fantastic projects across Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, invested vehicles, equipment and branding, launched a premium website, grown our online presence and, most importantly, built a strong reputation with our customers.

From landscaping and porcelain patios to fencing, drainage, concrete works, foundations, retaining walls and larger groundwork projects, we’re continuing to grow the type and scale of work we take on.

We’re now looking ahead to an even bigger 2027, with future projects already being planned and plenty more ambitions for the business.

Running your own business definitely isn’t easy. There are long days, late nights pricing work, constant investment and plenty of pressure behind the scenes, even days that make you question if this is all worth it - but seeing the business grow makes it all worthwhile.

A massive thank you to every customer who has trusted us with their property, everyone who has recommended or shared our work, and everyone who has supported DIGroundworks so far.

We’re proud of what we’ve built, but this is only the beginning.
