Bluebell arrived with an engine that wasn’t running due to a seized fuel pump and damaged injectors, caused by contamination from a problem with the diesel tank.

Engineer Dylan has been working to get her engine back into good running order. The fuel pump and injectors have been reconditioned, the diesel system has been addressed and the engine has also been fully serviced.

This work was essential to get Bluebell running reliably again and back to where she needs to be.

The Briar Rose is finished and back on the water!

After a full repaint and plenty of preparation, sanding and finishing touches, she’s now looking completely refreshed.

From the first coats of paint through to the final hand-painted lettering by Real Signwriting by Rob Wagg it’s been great to see the transformation come together.

Here’s a look back at the process and the finished result. 👀

The Briar Rose is really starting to take shape! 🎨

The finishing touches are underway, with Real Signwriting by Rob Wagg here to add the hand-painted lettering to the boat.

There’s still a few jobs to complete, including getting all the windows back in, but she’s looking very smart already!

Some times the best plans don’t go to plan, earlier this week we needed to move boats around and get The Briar rose into the paint shed, however our tractor had other ideas 🤦🏼, after a phone call we managed to get the big boys in to help us and as you can see by Oliver’s face it was pretty cool 😎

Nb Ze Barge in with us this week after having engine issues. Fault traced to contaminated fuel suspect water ingress from a poorly fitted filler cap. access made into the tank and cleaned. New fuel lines and filters fitted to the engine, new filler cap installed, hatch made and fitted and tested. We now have a happy customer who can start his holiday on board. 😁

Nb Lilaea, has been back out for some work following a survey, new prop fitted replacing the old damaged one, bow thruster tube replaced due to the old being heavily pitted, new guards made and fitted for the tube also we have made new locker lids and deck boards. 😁.
