It’s been a busy few weeks for us in Aylsham.

Roofing all finished and scaffold down.
Internal walls and alterations done.
New window cut into bedroom with new lintels.
First fix completed by the customer.
Plaster boarding complete and almost fully skimmed.

Great work by Aylsham roofing services Ltd.
Helping us out on the roof and pushing the project on.

Next week we will get the floor insulation down and ready for Anglia flow screed to do their thing.

New extension started this week in Aylsham.
Nice to be back to this place where completed a rear extension, internal works and a re roof back in 2019!

Foundations dug and concreted, trench blocks down and internal skin up to concrete height, internal fouls drainage installed upto the first inspection chamber, rainwater extended ready to be connected to a new soak-away.

Tunstead extension all wrapped up from us and handed over to the customer to finish off.

This job for us was just a “shell only” which included, new foul drainage and rainwater drainage into a new soakaway system, foundations, brick and blockwork, floor insulation and screed, steel installation and rear wall removal, warm deck flat roof with EPDM finish, roof lantern up stands and we also fitted the roof lights.

These lovely customers have taken on a huge project transforming his old run down bungalow into a modern family home. Having taken on a lot of the work themselves there is still a long way to go but I’m excited to see the finished product and wish them all the best in this new experience.
A massive learning curve for them but from designing every detail themselves from the beginning it will be worth all the hard work once finished.

Progress at Tunstead.

All roof timbers and firing strips installed.
Brickwork completed.
Steel beam installed along with wind posts.
First osb deck down and covered with the edpm rubber roof to keep everything protected.

Progress at Tunstead, what a difference the weather can make ☀️

All grounds complete.
Oversite prepped with hardcore base, sand blinding, damp proof membrane, reinforcement over drainage runs and finally concrete slab poured.

We also installed a new soakaway and all underground drainage ready to take downpipes when roof is complete.

What a lovely week to be doing drainage 🌧️ ☔️
We persevered though and got all main drains dug, installed, connected, inspected and back filled.

Monday / Tuesday saw us get all trench blocks laid and bricked upto damp proof course and internally up-to concrete height.

Next week we will finish the soakaway and rainwater drainage, prepare the over site with hardcore ready for concrete slab.
