✅ Just completed! Another beautiful cast iron garden chair restored by Jas Welding Services.
This ornate cast iron rose chair had seen better days — typical of these classic pieces with cracks and breaks from years of weather exposure and brittle metal fatigue.
Cast iron welding is a real specialist job. Unlike mild steel, cast iron is extremely prone to cracking if not handled correctly.
Key steps we take:
Thorough pre-heating of the repair area (and surrounding metal) to the correct temperature
Using the right cast iron welding rods and controlled technique
Slow, even cooling to prevent new cracks forming
Careful grinding and finishing so the repair is strong and looks as good as possible
This chair is now solid again and ready for many more years of garden use (we recommended a good rust treatment and repaint too!).
If you have broken cast iron — gates, railings, garden furniture, machinery parts, or anything else — don’t throw it away. Bring it to us and we’ll give it a proper professional repair.

🚧 New Driveway Gate Underway!
Just finished fabricating this solid one-leaf beast! Built with a heavy-duty 40x40x3 SHS framework and perforated sheet infill — fully welded for maximum strength and security.
This gate is made to last for years and look sharp doing it. Next stop: powder coating! Once that’s done and it’s installed, we’ll drop the finished photos.
